A look back in Hozier history.
The Throwback section was a regular part of our In A Week posts on Storify where we looked at events, performances and anniversaries from that week in previous years. Now that we’ve moved to HoziersGuitars.com, we’ll be posting a #TBT every week with these little gems.
In the meantime, we have some catching up from mid-December to do. So here goes!
Hozier wrote an essay for Q Magazine: Anti-social media and the politics of me by Hozier (December 16, 2014)
Home for the holidays, Hozier was on RTÉ One The Late, Late Show and performed a stripped down solo version of Take Me To Church with his parents looking on, and then stayed for a chat. (December 19, 2014)
Published on December 23, 2014, this is a great behind the scenes look at the From Eden video shoot.
We don’t think he realized how unimaginably good 2015 would prove to be.
Thank you to everyone for making 2014 such an unimaginably good year. Here's to the next, will see you in the coming months! Happy New Year

Hozier started off 2015 with a fantastic appearance on the Graham Norton Show.
I'll be on @TheGNShow on BBC1 tonight along with this rather spectacular line up. Do tune in. pic.twitter.com/o46YtO6Mu1

Work Song at the famous Troubadour, Hozier’s first headlining show in London. With Caoimhe Barry (Wyvern Lingo) and Jess Kavanagh (Gin ‘n’ Juice, Lethal Dialect, Kodaline, Tongue in Chic) on backing vocals. The person who posted the video commented:
This is the best gig i have ever been to. This man has incredible talent and brilliant songs…lots of them. Real substance and subtlety.
Nova Collective posted the video for Quick Bossa. Hozier on vocals, Alex Ryan on bass, Rob Kearns on guitar, Fiachra Kinder on drums, Louis Ryan on piano and actor Aaron Heffernan as the janitor. (January 7, 2013)

Bonus:
Hozier closed out out his 2011 by posting this video with his New Year’s message. Enjoy!
HG as always absolutely brilliant. So enjoyable looking back at all that has been accomplished by Andrew and band/crew. Looking forward to 2016! Question – does HG go on break while Hozier is having a break to write, or will u be keeping us up to date?
Thank you so much! We’re glad that you liked it. And you’ve asked a good question! To be honest, we don’t have a definite answer at the moment. We are considering all of our options and will keep you posted.
Wow! Thoroughly enjoyed that – was like a trip down memory lane. So great to see the early stuff and note the differences in Hozier’s performance now. Loved it – thank you SO much!
He has certainly grown as a performer in the last 2 years and brings so much more energy and confidence to the stage, even on quiet songs.
