In A Week is our look back at Hozier highlights and happenings from the previous week.
News
Hozier’s Take Me To Church landed at #90 on the Telegraph’s list of the 100 Greatest Songs of All Time by rock critic Neil McCormick.
Awards
Last week Hozier had been nominated for Best New Artist at the iHeart Music Awards and Best International Album at Canada’s Juno Awards. Sadly, he did not win either, but strangely, had been asked on the red carpet to practice his best losing reaction.
Hozier appears at 2:21 and 4:08 here:
There are a few more clips from the red carpet here, here and here if you’re interested.
Fellow countrymen U2 were awarded the Innovator Award at the iHeart Radio Music Awards. When asked on the red carpet who they thought were tomorrow’s innovators, it was great to hear them mention Hozier.

Little Green Cars
Little Green Cars continued their juggernaut North American tour. This past week they played San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Phoenix and Tucson. Check their web site for tour dates as they head east. They’ll be playing an in-store session in Houston this coming Tuesday.
They also posted a behind-the-scenes clip of Adam recording the keys for The Party in Exchequer Studio with Rob Kirwan (the same studio and producer that worked with Hozier on his two EPs and album).

Wyvern Lingo
On the heels of releasing their video for Running that was filmed during their shows in London earlier this year, their intro video gives insight on how the song comes together.
The band also wrapped up their Letter To Willow tour this week with a gig at The Set Theatre in Kilkenny and got a great review on their Button Factory EP launch gig from April 1.

Saint Sister
Saint Sister were busy last week shooting the upcoming video for Madrid. They also landed on the Hot Press list of the top 10 Irish bands who played at SXSW and scored some great reviews from that festival as well! And they dropped a little fun on us from the studio this week too:
