September 2017

Sept 30: Hozier was in the March for Choice in support of #Repealthe8th alongside his friends in Little Green Cars.

Sept 22: When a breakfast brag turns into a lesson in patience and what not to put on porridge.

Sept 20: Amnesty International and Sofar Sounds Give A Home gig with Hozier, Wyvern Lingo, Sorcha Richardson, and Lewis Kenny was a tremendous success.

Sept 19: UK Charts revealed their millionaires’ club: The artists whose singles have reached at least 1 million copies in sales, now calculated as a combination of sales and streaming. Astonishingly, Hozier’s Take Me To Church ranked at #23, just behind She Loves You, by The Beatles. Hozier has the highest-selling song by an Irish artist in history.

Sept 18: Trivia surfaced about Hozier’s first-ever sync license to Teen Wolf for the song Like Real People Do. 

Sept 14: Hozier’s disguise was foiled! (A brilliant story.)

Sept 9: A visit to Parkfest in Newtownmountkennedy, Co. Wicklow had Hozier catching some local talent.

Sept 7: Hozier stopped into RTÉ 2FM today to have a chat with Eoghan McDermott about the Amnesty International – Sofar Sounds Give a Home campaign.

Aug 30: A remembrance of one of Hozier’s favourite poets, Seamus Heaney.

Aug 26: Hozier was present at A Day of Testimonies at the Project Arts Centre as part of the #ArtistsRepeal campaign to Repeal the 8th Amendment.

While at the Projects Arts Centre for #ArtistsRepeal, Hozier met the best-selling author, Marian Keyes. She later shares her thoughts and feelings about the issue, the event, and meeting Hozier in this video.

Aug 23: Hozier’s Instagram this summer portrays an absolute love affair between the man and his home.

Aug 9: Amnesty International and Sofar Sounds have teamed up for the Give A Home campaign to raise awareness and funds to help refugees. The gig was officially announced with more information about the Give A Home campaign.

Aug 8: American medical drama Code Black will feature a musical number performed to Hozier’s Angel of Small Death and the Codeine Scene in season 3, episode 2.

July 20: R.I.P. Chester Bennington.

July 20: Hozier chose his current favourite Irish artists for the IASCA – Irish Association of Songwriters, Composers & Authors.

July 19: Town & Country Magazine placed From Eden at #5 on their list of the best modern wedding love songs to choose for a first dance.

July 18: Hozier discovered a photo from the end of tour party in Istanbul.

Sam Pauly who worked on the tour for 15-months, had a few responses for Hozier.

Hozier at Longitude Festival

July 16: Hozier joined Mumford & Sons, Jack Garratt, Jorja Smith, Lucy Rose and Kevin Garrett on stage for the closing song of Longitude Festival in Marlay Park, Dublin. They performed the Joe Cocker arrangement of the Beatles song, With A Little Help From My Friends.

Fans may remember that in 2015, Hozier & band joined Mumford & Sons, along with Dawes, My Morning Jacket, Danny Clinch, War on Drugs and others at Bonnaroo to perform this same song. It was definitely a highlight of that tour.

July 8: Arsonist’s Lullabye is the backdrop to this dramatic video for UFC #214, which Joe.ie calls “arguably the greatest UFC promo ever.”

July 4: At #30 in the Hot Press 40th Anniversary: Cultural Events That Changed The Face of Ireland is Hozier’s video for Take Me To Church and how “it helped to win support for a ‘yes’ vote in the Marriage Equality referendum.”

July 3: The Watermill Theatre‘s production of Romeo & Juliet features music by Hozier and is on tour in the UK until August 3.
