Ruby Amanfu

ABOUT: Ruby Amanfu joined the Hozier tour on backing vocals with her Nashville friend, Rachael Lampa. She was on tour for 6 weeks at the launch of the album in the USA (Sept 29 – Nov 6, 2014). Ruby has had a long working relationship with Jack White. She released her album Standing Still in 2015 and appeared at the Newport Folk Festival in 2016.

May 24: Ruby played the sold out In Celebration of Bob Dylan at City Winery in New York. May 5: Ruby performs Shadow on the Wall on the album Cover Stories featuring artists from Adele to Pearl Jam reinterpreting Brandi Carlile’s album Stories. Proceeds from the album benefit War Child and child victims of war. May 4: Ruby performed on WXPN’s World Cafe Nashville. Apr 20: Ruby will be returning to the Newport Folk Festival this summer with Steelism and Nicole Atkins. Dec 29: Ruby announced that she’ll make an appearance on the CMT show, Nashville. Dec 6: Ruby appears on backing vocals on Beyoncé’s song Don’t Hurt Yourself. The gritty track from her Lemonade album was co-written with Jack White and received a Grammy nomination today for Best Rock Performance. Dec 4: Ruby totally ripped up the vocals on With a Little Help From My Friends in Nashville.
