ABOUT: Based in Toronto, ROMES are 1/2 Canadian (Jacob Alexander, Nicolas Amadeus) and 1/2 Irish (James Tebbitt, Andrew Keyes). They have been friends with Hozier since they met in high school in Bray. The band released their debut EP, Believe, in 2016 and their debut album in early 2017.

July 10: Billboard Magazine premiered the new self-shot ROMES video for Summer Sound and it’s hilarious, for all the right reasons. July 5: “ROMES are pretty good live“, they’ve “stepped up their lighting game“, were praised for bringing their own lighting and “played a SPECTACULAR show” (review). Bowery Ballroom, New York. July 4: Romes arrived in Montreal to do an acoustic session at Evenko concert promotions before playing their show at Sala Rossa. July 2: Someone gets Australian radio premier. And Summer Sound is on Irish radio. ROMES are done with rehearsals, and the tour began in Toronto at Lee’s Palace. July 1: ROMES announced that they’ve surpassed the 3 million streams milestone on Spotify. June 30: Summer Sound was released across all music platforms. June 29: ROMES showed off their new T-shirts, available at their merch table on tour (it will be online in the future.) June 22: ROMES announced a new single to be released on June 30, along with a series of teasers. June 19: ROMES announced that their Vancouver, Edmonton and Winnipeg shows would be postponed due to laryngitis. June 11: The Aussie Word featured an interview with ROMES.
